With Halloween just past us, and Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa all ahead, businesses that are not retail oriented often believe it is time to hide. That could not be further from the truth.
First of all, there’s no time during the year that you should hide from marketing and advertising. Promoting what you do is full time year round.
Some businesses that are not retail oriented assume that with the flood of retail advertising, there’s no room for them until January. But if you are doing your marketing and advertising correctly, retail should have no impact on you, and you will still be seen. In fact, it’s just the opposite. People are used to seeing more advertising this time of year. If you’re not present, you may be missed. You never know when your product or service is needed. You can’t assume it won’t be needed in November and December.
Additionally, people are always looking for something different. Another gift basket, sweater or electronic game is just that – one more gift basket, sweater or electronic game. Your product or service may be just the alternative for that boring annual present.
So don’t hide. You may have just the thing for this holiday season.
