Make 2015 your year for marketing

6-23-14marketingIt’s a new year, which means it’s time to make some marketing resolutions for your organization. Whether your goals involve brand awareness, social media or selling more of your product, all of us could benefit by remembering these three tips:

Create a Schedule.

Writing down your plan and sticking to it is crucial for maintaining order and efficiency within your marketing campaign. All employees can refer back to a content calendar to keep email, databases, social media, SEO and other communications running smoothly.

Doing this ahead of time will also ensure that you are being consistent with your message across all channels of communication and that you aren’t overwhelming your audience.

Keep track of what’s going on.

Once you have a content calendar set up, the next step is to figure out if it’s working. By using tracking programs like Google Analytics you can track traffic across multiple platforms, which will help you both shape your current campaign efforts and make adjustments in the future. Make sure you’re considering the bigger picture by keeping track of stats like click-through-rates.

Don’t be afraid of creativity.

Use more graphics such as diagrams and photos to draw attention to your content. Most of the time your content can be paired with a visual element that could explain the information more efficiently to your publics.

With that being said, make sure you aren’t getting everything from a stock photo website.
