Why Networking is Important
When you own a business, it is true that your social media and the product or service you sell do most of the work for promoting your brand. However, there is one other major factor in your company’s success: networking.
As a business owner, you are always working even when the suit comes off and the briefcase is set to the side. It is vital for the success of your business that you are friendly with the people in the community and that you show that you care about the community and its constituents.
The connections you make with people in your community will help your business reach maximum potential.
Even if you are not a business owner but are just trying to promote your personal brand in hopes of advancing your career, networking is still important. The connections that you make through networking can help land you that dream job, bring you 100 more clients, or even an awesome letter of recommendation.
We practice what we preach ourselves as members of BNI (Business Network International), which we strongly recommend. There are other options as well, including your local chamber of commerce.
While we here at David Greenberg Communications are happy to help you promote your business through social media, we also encourage you to take the extra step and network.
