Working Together to Tell a Great Story

Philip Marcel Photography

It’s always great to work with a colleague but when you can do it for something that brings joy to people, it’s even better.

Writer and editor Felicia Lee (www.verveeditorial.com) who, like me, is a member of the BNI (Business Networking International) Green Machine chapter in Gainesville, Fl., is working with me to create written histories for families. Felicia writes and David Greenberg Communications has designed.

We have offered this service as silent auction items at a number of charitable events, and we have created two such stories for colleagues in our BNI chapter.

One story was for Craig Eaton, the owner of Eaton Electric. In that case we produced a story about Craig’s parents. The other was for Philip Turner (pictured), outstanding photographer and videographer and owner of Philip Marcel Photography.

You can see examples of both pieces here.

Felicia and I are looking forward for our next charitable opportunity. One of our pieces will be a grand door prize at an Elder Options special event called Creativity in Caregiving, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 12 from 8:30-2 at the Hilton UF Conference Center.
